Microsoft's Chromium-based browser with Copilot in a sidebar that can summarize the open page and help draft text.
Microsoft Edge is the browser that ships with Windows and also runs on macOS, Linux, iOS and Android. It is built on Chromium, the same open-source base as Google Chrome, so most Chrome extensions install and work the same way.
The AI part is Copilot, which opens in a sidebar next to the page. You can ask it to summarize what you are reading, explain a passage, compare products on a page or draft a reply, and it can use the page as context when you allow it. Signed in with a work or school account, Edge follows the policies your organization sets, which matters if you read internal documents in the browser.
Things to check: whether page context is turned on for your account, which data your organization allows Copilot to see, and how chat history is stored for your sign-in type.
