The most widely used browser, with Gemini features being added for asking about pages, writing help and tab organization.
Google Chrome runs on Windows, macOS, Linux, ChromeOS, Android and iOS, and it has the largest extension library of any browser. That matters here because most of the AI sidebars and clippers on this site ship as Chrome extensions first.
Google has been building Gemini into Chrome: asking questions about the page you are on, help writing in text boxes, and grouping tabs. Which features you see depends on your region, language, account type and whether you use a managed work device, so two people on the same Chrome version can see different options.
Things to check: the AI settings page in Chrome, whether your administrator has turned features off, and what each extension you add is allowed to read. Extensions with access to all sites can see the pages you visit, including pages where you are signed in.
