About Browser Use

Open-source Python library that lets an AI model control a real browser, with a hosted cloud version for running agents.

Browser Use is an open-source project for developers who want an AI model to drive a web browser. You write a short Python script, describe the task in plain language and pick a model, and the library opens a browser, reads the page and decides what to click or type next.

The code is free to run on your own machine. The company behind it also offers a hosted cloud service, so you do not have to manage browsers and servers yourself.

Things to check: which model you connect, because the model sees the page content and your instructions. Run it with test accounts first, keep secrets out of prompts where you can, and limit which sites an agent is allowed to visit. Sites change their layouts often, so a task that worked last week may need a fix.
